The Lamberts have been led of the Lord into serving home educators in Texas beginning at the local level years ago leading a local support group. They then were gradually moved into their current responsibilities. Tim is active in the political arena and is committed to serving the home school community and protecting parents' right to choose the education of their children. Lyndsay works beside Tim at THSC. Her strongest desire, however, is to encourage home school moms and support group leaders in the work that they are doing

Carol Barnier, author of “How to Get Your Child Off the Refrigerator and on to Learning”, is a mom to an ADHD child, writer, and conference speaker.  Several of Carol's journeys (both painful and pleasant) are the fuel of her speaking and writing material  Carol delights in opening ALL the gifts God has sent into her life, even the most challenging, for she has come to delight in seeing how His plan often runs delightfully counter to the world's plans.    Carol is now a regular speaker at women's groups, state home schooling conferences, and is a popular guest on radio programs such as Moody Radio (311 affiliates), American Family Radio (200 stations), Life Talk Radio (15 markets) and many other individual stations.
Todd Wilson is the author of “Help! I'm Married to a Homeschooling Mom” and “The Official Book of Homeschooling Cartoons”, a dad, writer, conference speaker, and former pastor. Todd's humor and gut-honest realness have made him a favorite speaker at homeschool conventions across the country and a recent guest on Focus on the Family.  His articles have appeared in various magazines, including Christian Parenting Today, Men of Integrity, and Stand Firm. Christianity Today also posts his weekly column (The Familyman Weekly) on their website.  Todd and his wife Debbie, along with their seven children spend several months of the year traveling the country encouraging moms and dads. His humor, realness, and straight talk to men (& women) have become his trademark.

Throughout my life I have always felt extremely blessed. One of the many blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon me, is being Melisa’s mom. In the effort to help Melisa live a rich & fulfilling life, I (we) have met wonderful people. Some of those people are children & adults with disabilities and their families.
It is also because of Melisa, that I came in touch with the homeschool community. My husband Pablo and myself are often saddened to see how many parents in today’s society are not making their children’s lives a priority in their own lives. It’s very motivating to meet parents that are not embarrassed or ashamed to say that they are teaching their children in Christian ways, and that they make their children, the first priority in their lives.
This Friday’s play The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was the result of all the effort and hard work that you all put into your children’s education. I can not tell you how exciting it was for me to see the children rehearsing all those days.
I want to also mention my appreciation for the effort that you all put, so that Melisa would be part of the play. This Friday’s play was also proof of how easy it is to create acceptance and inclusion of children with disabilities in our every day lives. It does not take “special education”. It is just takes a lot of common sense, and God loving people.
Thank you for the joy & sense of fulfillment that we saw in Melisa’s eyes this Friday.

Josefina Munoz, Melisa’s mom.

The conference was a great inspiration. It was something that I needed and I know many moms and dads needed. I feel pumped up and excited about my job as a homeschooler. We genuinely appreciate all your hard work it took to put this conference together. I also congratulate SHN for a successful conference.
I learned so much about myself. I laughed, cried, and yearned for more. I cried for things I felt I had done wrong and for things I want to change. (I also cried at Deb’s “Goodnight Kiss” song.) For the first time I felt I wasn't alone. I wasn't the only one going through frustration and tears. And certainly not the only one feeling the joy for homeschooling.   I met a lot of new moms and veteran moms that I would have not met if we hadn’t had a conference.
All the speakers and guest were awesome. They affirmed the reasons we homeschool and confirmed that this is what I am suppose to be doing for my family. The vendors were eager to share and very friendly. Seeing the material and curriculum helped decide what we will be doing next school year.   Thank you, SHN.

Thank you all again so much for all your hard work.  My family and I were greatly blessed.  My husband attended part of the conference and really enjoyed listening to Todd Wilson.  I was so blessed by listening to Carol Barnier.  I laughed quite a bit and cried some too.  Thank you SHN Committee and Drama Team.  If I missed anyone please forgive me, but know that we are truly grateful to all of you.  Sincerely, Kevin, Debbie, Sara, Rachel & Ben Holliday
